Rates & Fees

Transparency in interest rates and fees for loans is important so that borrowers can know the total obligations that must be paid until the end of the loan term.

Microenterpriseworks.org as a professional website that refers you as a borrower to lenders provides this transparency in order to give you a sense of security and trust.

Basically approved loans will be charged based on the APR (Annual Percentage Rate) which can be read in the loan agreement when you are connected to the lender directly.

The APR range for short-term loans varies from 200% to 2,290% depending on the loan amount, loan duration, borrowing costs incurred, late payment fees, non-payment fees, loan extension actions, and other factors.

Below is an illustration of the APR range for a small dollar loan with a single payment system:
Product Type (single repayment) Charge APR
NSF + Bounced Check $45.00 1,173.21%
Overdraft Fee $30.00 782.14%
Late Fee $20.00 521.43%

Please note that the APR range is not a loan fees and the actual fees will be listed when you are referred to a direct lender.

Non-Payment Implications and Other Considerations

Microenterpriseworks.org is not a lender and only refers borrowers to lenders. There are no fees for the services we provide, but we advise you to carefully read the terms and conditions of the loan offer.

Each of these offers will vary depending on the lenders who are members of our network, so we specifically remind you to carefully review each loan offer that is given to you.

Implications of Non-Payment, Late Payment, or Partial Payment

The standard loan agreement is the payment of principal, interest and fees according to the loan term that has been agreed upon by you and the lender.

For events that occur outside the standard loan agreement, resulting in you being late in paying or unable to pay the loan either partially or in full, there will be additional fees from the lender.

The amount of these additional fees is at the discretion of the lender so Microenterpriseworks.org cannot predict and control the amount of fees you will incur as a result of non-payment, late payment or partial payment.

Microenterpriseworks.org has a network of reputable lenders and collects overdue loans in a fair and reasonable manner. Please see the loan agreement document for details on the terms of late payment, partial payment and non-payment policies.
